Leslie Culpepper
Owner
Leslie's dream for LC's farm school started many years ago after having her own children and watching them enjoy the farm life that she had growing up. Leslie was born and raised in Harrisonville, just up the road from Red Barn Ranch. Being a public school teacher and having a passion for agriculture was the perfect storm to start a farm school. Leslie and her husband Michael have 3 young children, Calvin, Bowen and Hattie.
Allison Brown
Teacher
Allison has always had a passion for animals, earning a degree in Zoology and working at the Cleveland Zoo for many years. After Allison and her husband settled in Missouri, she fell in love with the atmosphere at Red Barn Ranch where she started working during pumpkin season. When she heard of a farm school at the patch, she very eagerly joined the team. Allison and her husband have 2 children, Hailey and Henry.
Kathy Jackson
Teacher
Kathy recently retired after teaching for 23 years. She taught first grade for eight years in Butler, Mo and fifteen years in Harrisonville, where she taught first grade and Title reading. Kathy and her husband, Terry, live in Harrisonville. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. She loves working with young children and is so excited to be teaching at farm school.
Rance Waite
Teacher
As a farm school dad, Rance decided to make the leap from teaching in public education to farm school after enrolling his own daughter in the program. Combined with his experience teaching 1st/2nd grade for 10 years and his love for the outdoors, farm school is the perfect place for him. Rance and his wife have 2 young children, Larie and Lawson. In his spare time, Rance likes to go golfing, fishing, hang out with his family and watch sports.
Carley Rose
Teacher
After traveling parts of the world Carley decided to come back to her roots and start a family. While completing most of her dreams (from chasing monkeys in the Amazon to organic farming in Hawaii) she is ecstatic to accomplish another dream - becoming a farm school teacher! Carley has a background in anthropology, library science, nannying for 15 years and being “the best mommy ever” to her 3 year old son Archer. In her free time she paints pots and hunts for vintage goods that she sells at local events.
Matt Moreland
Maintenance Man, Pumpkin King
He technically doesn't work here, but he does live here. Matt is the man behind the Red Barn Ranch and the "mad scientist" behind everything at the patch. Your Little Rancher might see him in a tractor planting pumpkins, giving a lesson on something agriculture, or fixing fence to keep the goats from getting out.
